ST-SAUVEUR, QUEBEC, CANADA - May 14, 2010 - Today, Real DB Inc. is releasing the news shaders specular mapping, normal map and environment reflection, available with our 3D model library in OpenFlight^TM format.

In response to the needs of the simulation industry and state of the art, our new materials shaders lets developers maximize performance and improve visual quality in their real-time applications.

The specular map is the key component in determining the brightness of specular highlights on objects and determines the size of the highlights. The normal mapping or Dot3 bump mapping provide more details without using additional polygons and greatly enhance the appearance and details of 3D models.
The reflection or environment mapping is used to store the image of the distant environment surrounding the rendered object and visualized reflective surface of the rendered object.
